An anonymous report concerning a dangerous driver on the Conception Bay Highway has led to the arrest of a 21-year-old Victoria man on a number of court breaches.
Police received a report around 1:30 on the morning of Saturday, January 14th and the vehicle in question was located a short time later on Columbus Drive in Carbonear.
Police conducted a traffic stop, but did not observe dangerous driving at the time.
The driver who was driving without a valid licence, was arrested for failing to abide by the conditions of his release, including failing to adhere to a curfew. The vehicle was neither registered nor insured and was seized and impounded.
The accused was remanded to custody pending a court appearance on three counts of failing to comply with the conditions of a release order. He’s also been ticketed for a number of violations.
