A 72-year-old man is dead following a head-on collision on the Veteran’s Memorial near Harbour Grace yesterday afternoon.
Police responded to a crash involving two SUVs on the highway around 3:30. One of the vehicles crossed the centre line and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
A man and woman from one vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The lone occupant of the other SUV died at the scene.
The investigation continues.
