The woman who was left paralyzed in a crash on Pitts Memorial Drive 2 1/2 years ago says she does not accept the apology from her ex-boyfriend who was driving the car.
Joahua Steele-Young was sentenced yesterday in Supreme Court to two years and is banned from driving for five years.
In her victim impact statement, Morgan Pardy told the court that she’s thankful for the support she’s received from family, friends and “random strangers.” She says the sentencing will help her move on.
Pardy says she won’t miss being “smirked at” from people on the other side in the courtroom.
She doesn’t believe he wanted her to become paralyzed, but she will never be able to accept his apology.
