Cremation has taken over the funeral profession in this country.

Local funeral director, Geoff Carnell says in Canada, 75 per cent of funerals involve cremation, surpassing the rate in the United States where 50 per cent of funerals involve cremation.

He says cremation can take place at any time over the course of the memorial process.

Carnell has created an online continuing education program for funeral professionals to hone their skills.
