One of the all-time hockey greats has passed away.
Bobby Hull, whose booming slapshot and curved blade helped him score 610 goals, was the biggest NHL star to bolt to the Winnipeg Jets of the fledgling World Hockey Association in 1972.
He was the father of Brett Hull, who also went on to become one of the game’s most prolific goal scorers.
Hull played his entire NHL career with the Chicago Blackhawks.
He visited Newfoundland on several occasions.
Bobby Hull was 84.
