Volunteer Canada is offering up some solutions to the ongoing volunteer shortage being felt across Canada.

President and CEO Megan Conway says they’re working with the federal government to discuss the need for a National Action Strategy on Volunteering in Canada.

She says they’re also looking to businesses, large non-profits, organizations and foundations to think about how they might wish to invest in re-imagining volunteering and re-thinking how volunteering happens in their organizations or communities.

Conway says volunteers are often the unseen and hidden resources that keep communities thriving in a variety of ways.
