RCMP in central Newfoundland have seized the vehicles of “chronic traffic violators” after two drivers were pulled over earlier this week.
Around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, police in Glenwood pulled over a 52-year old man who was driving while suspended and without insurance or registration. Over two weeks earlier, on January 13, the man was stopped for the same offences in a different vehicle, which was impounded at that time.
About a half hour later, a 48-year-old man was pulled over in Gander. In addition to having multiple warrants out for his arrest, he was found to be owing over $12,000 in fines, and also had no license, no insurance, and an expired registration. He appeared in court and was released from custody.
