A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a disturbance in Bay Roberts last evening.

Police were called around 6:30, where they found two men outside a home. One of the men reported that he had been assaulted by the other, who appeared to be intoxicated.

The alleged victim wanted the accused removed from his property.

Police provided Tommy Dove with a ride home, but found him a few minutes later walking back toward the victim’s property.

Police arrested Dove for public intoxication, but he resisted when police tried to take him into custody. The accused is facing charges of assault, resisting arrest, uttering threats, and assaulting a police officer.

The investigation continues.
