The Newfoundland Growlers have made have made it a clean sweep of the Brampton Beast in the ECHL preseason.
The returning Kelly Cup champions scored the victory at a close game in Brampton Saturday night.
The Beast held the lead over the Growlers for the majority of the game. However, the Growlers rallied hard in the third period and were able to score three straight goals to secure a close 5-4 victory to end the preseason.
The Growlers are set to kick off the regular season on home ice this Friday night against the Reading Royals at Mile One Centre.
