Canada has the third-highest land potential in the world when it comes to planting trees to combat climate change, according to Forest Recovery Canada.
The director of operations, Kerry McLaven, says we have enough area to plant 117 billion trees. She is encouraged by world leaders committing to plant trees.
She says it’s nice to see people taking action on climate change by planting trees, whether it’s governments, businesses, organizations or individuals.
The Liberal Party has committed to planting 2 billion trees over the next decade, if elected.
