RNC say officers canvassing the Mayor Avenue/Newtown Road neighbourhood say their efforts have been very helpful in the ongoing investigation into a homicide in the area earlier this week.
A badly injured 22-year-old man was found around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
Police have determined the cause of death as a homicide but say the incident was not random and there is no risk to public safety.
There is no immediate word on possible suspects.
Officers are continuing their canvass of the neighbourhood.
