Opposition health critic Paul Dinn says he’s pleased that the separation of senior couples will be a focus of a review of long-term and personal care homes in the province, but families want to know what happens now.
Dinn says he’s received calls from children and grand children who are impatient and want to know if their loved ones will be reunited, or if they have to wait for the outcome of the review.
He’s had families who have been trying to get loved ones back together and keeping them together in situations that have dragged out “for months and months.” Dinn says what was announced this week isn’t going to do anything to address that immediately.
