The Inquiry into the Treatment, Experiences, and Outcomes of Innu in the Child Protection system has officially begun in Labrador.
The inquiry began yesterday with an opening prayer, Innu drumming, and opening comments from the commissioners.

Chief commissioner and retired provincial court Judge, James Igloliorte says they realize that this will be a difficult process for those involved.
He states the job of the Innu to take over child protection is much more difficult than that of the judges, and it will take years to complete.
