The PC opposition critic is expressing concern over what he calls the provincial government playing catch up on the housing crisis.
Joedy Wall says the housing crisis did not appear overnight, yet government is “scrambling to respond.”
Wall notes that while in power the PCs had a poverty reduction strategy that received praise across the country. He says that plan was last updated in 2014, the year before the Dwight Ball Liberals took power.
The current administration began consultations on updating that plan last August, but it’s “too little, too late” for the province’s most vulnerable, according to Wall.
Joedy Wall, PC Opposition Shadow Minister Responsible for Housing and MHA, says he’s concerned to see the Liberal Government playing catch up after an explosion in the number of people without housing in the last number of years.https://t.co/1AYIqtKAN9@wall_joedy #nlpoli pic.twitter.com/s2jzek31pE
