Marble Mountain is addressing concerns with infrastructure.
The resort was forced to shut down for a period of time last week due to maintenance issues with the main ski lift—the Lighting Express.
Bruce Hollett, Executive Chair for Marble, says they spent all summer and fall repairing and ensuring their lifts were reliable, even bringing in the manufacturer.
He says more major maintenance has been completed on the lifts over the past year than in many of the previous years combined. He says they’ve spent a lot of time and money on ensuring the lifts are up to date.
Hollett says when you do a lot of work on the lifts, there can be some growing pains. He says sometimes the new parts do not talk to the old parts as effectively, which can cause little issues.
