A man charged with second-degree murder in an incident that occurred in St. John’s two weeks ago is due back in court later this week to answer to a set of different charges.
Twenty-one-year-old Robert Belbin was arrested over the weekend in connection to the death of 22-year-old Seamus Secord on February 7.
Belbin is due back in court on March 13 to answer to a charge of second degree murder in that case.
However, he will be back in court this coming Friday on charges that include aggravated assault and robbery with violence.
Those charges stem from the investigation into a stabbing on George Street last May. Belbin was among several people who were arrested following a series of violent incidents in metro, including a spree of shootings and a firebombing.
