One of the candidates for the PC leadership is asking questions about where government is with developing a health care human resources plan.
Tony Wakeham, who is also the MHA for Stephenville-Port au Port, says government issued a request for proposals on such a plan last March.
Wakeham says he knows of at least four companies that submitted proposals, but to date he has not heard of a contract actually being awarded.
He accuses government of not having a plan in place, and instead says they’re flying by the seat of their pants and using band-aids as solutions.
