The emergency department in St. Lawrence is going to be shut down for a couple of weeks due to staff shortages.
The emergency department will close as of 8:00 a.m. tomorrow and will be shut down for two weeks, reopening on March 13 at 8:00 a.m.
Anyone in need of emergency care during the closure should proceed to either the Burin Peninsula Health Centre, or the hospital in Grand Bank.
Appointments at the family practice clinic will still be available while the emergency department is shut down. As well, outpatient lab services and ambulatory treatment services will also be available.
