A 37-year-old Harbour Grace man was arrested and is facing a number of charges after being pulled over on the Trans Canada Monday morning.

RCMP say a patrol officer in an unmarked car noticed a vehicle driving at 158 km/h in a 100 km/h zone around 9:30 Monday morning.

Police pulled over Joshua Hearn and arrested him on outstanding conditions prohibiting him from operating a vehicle in the province and ordering him not to have contact with a passenger in his vehicle.

He is also facing charges of excessive speeding, operating an unregistered vehicle and operating a vehicle without insurance.
