The Seaward Enterprises Association of Newfoundland and Labrador—also known as SEA-NL—has a new president.
Fortune-based enterprise owner, Pamela Patten has been elected as president of the organization.
Patten, an enterprise owner for the last 11 years and fish harvester for the last 22, fishes crab and lobster on the Bradley Venture, a 39 foot 11 inch longliner. She replaces Jason Sullivan of Bay Bulls who stepped down from the position after running unsuccessfully for the FFAW’s top job.
Patten was elected during SEA-NL’s AGM in Gander on the weekend. They also passed five policy resolutions, including a call for Ottawa to lift the moratorium on Atlantic mackerel in 2023 and to set a quota at least equal to the US quota for the same stock.
