All six federal leaders are going head to head at the debate tonight at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Quebec.
In addition to the leaders of the Liberals, Conservatives, NDP, and Greens, Yves-Francois Blanchet of the Bloc Quebecois and Maxime Bernier of the upstate People’s Party will present their cases.
Pollster Tim Powers says the governing Liberals have increased their lead in the Atlantic provinces and with woman nationally.
He says if you don’t count Alberta and Saskatchewan the Liberals are leading by nine points, 38-29 for the CPC. But still, says Powers, with all things counted and the Bloc in Quebec, it’s looking like a minority situation leading into tonight’s debate.
The St. John’s Board of Trade is hosting Leader’s Debate showing at the Mount Pearl Square Cineplex tonight starting at 8:30.
