The Mayor of CBS says the entire town is bursting with pride and is looking forward to welcoming home Maddox Glover who captured gold at the Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown, PEI.
Thirteen-year-old Glover won gold in the Special Olympics Level II Figure Skating event Thursday evening.
CBS Mayor Darin Bent says they couldn’t be prouder or more excited.
Bent has been in conversation with Glover’s family who say he’s overwhelmed with the attention he’s getting. Glover is a Grade 8 student at Villa Nova Junior High in CBS.
He says Glover will be invited to town council to recognize his accomplishment.
Meanwhile, Glover has been selected as flagbearer for tonight’s closing ceremonies.
