A dog and his owner have been reunited after a tense week in Grand Falls-Windsor.

Benji had been reported missing a week ago after going missing in a wooded area during the frigid cold weather of the past week.

After days of searching, Benji was spotted on the river bank downstream of Gorge Park.

Community volunteers, town staff, and members of the Grand Falls-Windsor fire department all pitched in to help find the dog. He was was found near a trap that had been set to capture him on Sunday.

Benji, now reunited with owner Tony, is said to be in good health.
