A heart-breaking update to a story that tugged at the heart-strings of many across the province.

Krissy Tobin, formerly Krissy Howell, a young mother and bride suffering from terminal cancer, passed away on the weekend, just days after staff at the Health Sciences prepared a dream wedding for Krissy and her husband Trevor Tobin.

Nursing staff converted Howell’s room in 4 North B at the Health Sciences into a magical wonderland to fulfill one of Howell’s fondest wishes—to have a Disney wedding.

She passed away on Friday at the age of 40. A Go Fund Me has been set up in support of the couple’s three children.
