The provincial Minister of Women and Gender Equality is in New York City this week to attend the United Nations’ Commission on the Status of Women.
It’s part of International Women’s Week activities.
Minister Pam Parsons says it’s the first in-person event since 2019—before the pandemic.
Parsons, who is part of a federal delegation representing Canada, says there is a full agenda on the theme of Information and Technology and its role in the empowerment of women and girls.
The sessions will include meetings, round tables, and youth interventions with expert panelists, decision makers, leaders and activists.
