It’s no surprise with the amount of pack ice moving southward, but RCMP are warning about a polar bear sighting on the Great Northern Peninsula.
The bear was spotted at St. Carol’s near St. Anthony.
People are being asked to keep their distance if a polar bear is spotted in their area, and report to your nearest RCMP or conservation office.
Though I may look cute and cuddly, I am a wild animal. Please keep your distance! Polar bears have been seen in St. Carols and surrounding areas of the Northern Peninsula. Conservation Officers are engaged and sightings can be reported to them by calling 709-454-7243. #RCMPNL pic.twitter.com/fpajj98gG9
