The co-founder of the Canadian Hydroponic Association is looking for more support for their operations.
Mackenzie Warford, operator of Papa’s Farm says research and development in the agriculture industry surrounding hydroponics is improving all the time.
He says the extensive upgrades he made to his operation prior to the winter meant his crops were able to survive the recent cold snap.
He says it was minus 40 at its coldest, but they preserved, which is further proof of the potential of hydroponics.
He says support will allow them to supply growers across the province with the proper equipment.
