Police have now charged another in relation to that violent attack on a student at Prince of Wales Collegiate in St. John’s last Thursday.

The 18-year-old man will be in court today.

He’s the second person to be charged. A teenaged boy stands accused of attempted murder and aggravated assault.

A 16-year-old student of PWC suffered serious injuries in the attack. He remains at the Health Sciences.

The incident has led to many questions regarding school safety.

Meanwhile, people concerned about the victim, Dennis, held a vigil outside the hospital Sunday afternoon. Karla Haley launched the Facebook page “Flame Protectors” to raise awareness about violence and safety in our schools.

They wanted to show support and love for the victim and his family. She says they have some healing to do and they wanted to be there with them.

Dennis was able to see the large crowd from his hospital room.
