IKEA says it appreciates excitement in the market, but they don’t have any expansion plans for Newfoundland to share at this time.

The Swedish furniture and home decor retailer created some excitement in recent days in comments made on Facebook that sounded like they could be eyeing Galway for a bricks and mortar retail location.

The company was responding to people speculating about the best location for a store in this province.

A Galway spokesperson says they can’t comment on any potential stores or businesses locating in the new development.
