VOCM News Wins AJA for Hurricane Fiona Coverage, On Target Receives Nomination

VOCM News has been recognized for excellence in radio journalism in two categories with the newly resurrected Atlantic Journalism Awards.

Nominations were announced this morning.

VOCM News has won Gold in the Radio Breaking News category for its coverage of the day Hurricane Fiona struck the southwest coast.

It has also received a nomination for a Truth and Reconciliation edition of On Target with Lela Evans.

The awards will be handed out on April 20th at the College of the North Atlantic in St. John’s.
