Seniors’ Social programming will see continued government support in the province following an announcement this morning from the Minister responsible.

John Abbott visited the Anglican Cathedral in St John’s today to announce the continuation of funding.

The Department will give $1,000, $2,000, or $3,000 to successful applicants and the funding could also encompass intergenerational projects between various age demographics.

The deadline to apply for funding is May 19 which is just around the corner.

Abbott says the quick turn around will ensure a swift response.

He says they want to get the money out as quick as they can.
