A 33-year-old Mount Pearl man is facing a long list of firearms-related charges after police were called out to a Paradise storage unit where a large number of illegal firearms were being stored.
A call for police assistance came in from the area late Monday night. A number of firearms and other prohibited weapons and ammunition were seized.
The accused is facing 12 counts each of careless storage of a firearm, contravention of storage regulations and unauthorized possession of a firearm, as well as numerous other firearms-related charges.
The accused was released on conditions to appear in court May 23 to face the charges.
