A blogger on Muskrat Fall has numerous concerns about Newfoundland and Labrador’s declaration that all is well with the megaproject. Des Sullivan says President Jennifer Williams was likely premature in her labelling the project as commissioned.
Sullivan is concerned that the only testing was done with a 700-megwatt load. Testing with a 900-megawatt load won’t happen until next winter.
Sullivan is also concerned with statements from Hydro that there were no outages during the most recent test of the Labrador Island Link.
He says most of the testing was done at night when demand is low and the likelihood of outages is slim.
