Grieg Seafood and Quinlan Brothers have reached an agreement to process the first farmed salmon harvested from the new Grieg facility in Marystown this fall.

The fish will be harvested in October, and processed at Quinlan’s Bay de Verde plant.

Grieg Seafood’s Director of Communications, Perry Power says they’re taking a cautious approach initially and will ramp up production over time.

They’re starting with approximately 5,000 metric tonnes of head-on, gutted salmon if harvest conditions permit.
