St. Bonaventure’s College says the loss of more than half a million dollars due to misappropriation of funds by a former staff member has taken a toll on their school community.
Former school accountant, Kim Stagg was sentenced to three years in jail in court today.

The school issued a statement following today’s sentencing.
Board Chair Nancy Healey says trust was broken that takes time to repair, however they are rebounding with a new CFO, “robust procedures” and a resolve to ensure something like that can not happen again.
She tells parents that they have recovered a portion of the loss, and additional action is being taken to recover the remainder—a process, she says, that will take time.
