A radiothon on VOCM has raised over $100,000 for new health care software.
The Central Northeast Health Foundation Mother’s Day Radiothon in partnership with VOCM Cares, has raised $115,000 for new DynaCad Breast Imaging Software for the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre Radiology Department.
The new software will allow radiologists to report on lesion location and size, increasing the chances of early detection of breast cancer. The technology will help provide a path to MRI guided breast biopsy in the central region.
The fundraiser came just short of the $125,000 goal.
