Mother’s Day is right around the corner and florists are busy preparing for one of the busiest days of the year.
Kristyna Adamova, the owner of Newfoundland Floral Design, says they’ve had hundreds of orders placed this weekend.
Adamova, who uses local foraged materials in all her bouquets, has been foraging for the last three weeks in preparation for the massive volume of orders.
She says Mother’s Day is a great time to gain new costumers for a small business.
She says where it is so busy, they will see lots of new customers, which is especially important for a small business that is rapidly growing. She says holidays are great for business as she knows her products will be appreciated.
Adamova says this Mother’s Day is extra important, especially after a snow storm impeded Valentine’s Day sales this year and last year.
She says it was hard to miss it two years in a row, as they always have bouquets available for last-minute purchases.
