Government is giving $70,000 to a plant-based skin care company which was created by a Clarenville couple to find a solution to their infant daughter’s painful skin condition.
East Coast Glow, which began as a part-time business out of their home, has grown steadily to include nearly 80 product offerings, crafted using wild ingredients foraged and harvested by hand.
Roger and Karen Dewling say the funding will enable them to build on the success of previous marketing campaigns to further the creative development of digital advertising initiatives, develop bilingual signage intended to engage tourists, and produce creative materials for wholesale and tradeshows.
The minister responsible for industry, Andrew Parsons, says East Coast Glow has demonstrated the potential to represent Newfoundland and Labrador’s emerging skincare industry in markets beyond the province.
