The MHA for Placentia West – Bellvue is encouraging residents to tune in and support the annual Burin Peninsula Health Foundation Radiothon live on 88.3 VOCM Marystown.
Jeff Dwyer rose in the House of Assembly today to encourage donations to a very worthwhile cause.
This year’s radiothon, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. will help support waiting room upgrades at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, a cuddle-bed for Blue Crest Nursing Home, garden upgrades for long-term care residents, and patient comfort and care programs including the supply of gas cards and accommodations vouchers for local chemo and dialysis patients who must travel for appointments.
