Memorial University has opened nominations for the election of six alumni positions on its Board of Regents.
The Board has come under fire in recent years due to a number of controversial decisions on spending and, most recently, the decision to eliminate the Ode to Newfoundland from convocation ceremonies.
The nomination process wraps up on June 26.
Six alumni representatives are elected to the Board of Regents by their peers.
The successful candidates will serve a three-year term from September 1 to August 31.
