A report from a youth panel has made suggestions to the City of St. John’s regarding a number of issues.
Twelve young people took part in three sessions as part of the city’s Youth Engagement Program to hear the concerns and ideas from the new generation.
Topics of focus included the economy, public transportation, recreation, and the environment.
The report suggests that the city work to reduce emissions, increase greenspace, and introduce a free composting program.
When it comes to public transit, the committee highlighted the need for wider sidewalks and more routes for Metrobus and Gobus.
A full list of recommendations has been put forward to council for review.
