Two people have been charged following a recent drug bust in Marystown.
Police seized a variety of other items under warrant on Wednesday evening including:
-A quantity of cocaine
-A quantity of illicit cannabis
-Nearly $2,000 in cash
-A quantity of unstamped cigarettes
-Prescription medications
-A pellet gun
-Nunchucks
-Stolen property
-Various items consistent with drug trafficking
Forty-four-year-old Kiley Foote of Marystown and 41-year-old Janice Loder of Grand Bank are each facing charges of trafficking in cocaine in relation to the investigation and are scheduled to appear in court on August 9.
Foote is charged with:
-Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
-Possession of property/proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000
-Possession of a prohibited weapon
Loder is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine. A third person arrested at the scene has been released without charge.
Police say stolen property recovered from the home is believed to linked to recent break-ins in the area.
