A coalition of labour, local parents, early childhood educators, and community organizations has launched a local chapter of Child Care Now to help deal with the province’s child care crisis.
Federation of Labour President Jessica McCormick says it was time to bring Child Care Now to Newfoundland and Labrador.
She calls the establishment of $10 dollar a day child care in NL and “important victory” but says there’s still a long way to go for parents to access affordable child care.
