The dates have been released for the Pride Festival. The events kick off on July 9 and run until July 23 with the annual Pride Parade.
The celebrations will be broader this year, as the St. John’s Pride Board of Directors election took place only last week, meaning members of the community had already begun to put the wheels in motion.
Newly-elected chair Eddy St. Coeur says the community stepping up has helped everything come together.
He says rather than them planning all the events, they are helping the events already planned with volunteers, venues and funding.
