Expect to see a lot of military activity in the St. Mary’s Bay area this week.
Members of the 103 Search and Rescue Squadron from 9 Wing Gander will be involved in an environmental clean up on beaches in the area.
The clean up is focused on the shoreline from St. Vincent’s to St. Joseph’s and will also provide ATV training for Search and Rescue Support Staff.
The military says the training plays a key role in 103 Search and Rescue Squadron maintaining operational effectiveness, and helps with environmental stewardship, community relations and professional development for its staff.
