The 2025 Canada Games in St. John’s has landed a major sponsor.
Fortis is giving $1,000,000 to the games to go towards the new recreational facility under development, which will now be named the Fortis Canada Games Complex.

President and CEO of Fortis David Hutchens says there were looking for a way to give back to the community when the opportunity arose.
He says it was a great community building move and an offer they could not refuse.

She says they have lots a of support from different levels of government, but having a corporate partner will help propel the games forward. She hopes this will encourage other businesses to get involved.
