It’s Canada Day/Memorial Day long weekend.

On Saturday in St. John’s, all recreation facilities, community centres, and the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will be closed.

Outdoor pools at Bannerman Park and Bowring Park open starting on Sunday. In addition, the splash pads will be operational daily from 9 a.m. to dusk.

Most city offices and facilities will also be closed Monday, but all recreation facilities will be open.

Commercial users are reminded that the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday for commercial use only. However, garbage and recycling will not be collected on Monday.

All parking by-laws, including paid parking regulations, will remain in effect on Monday, as it is not considered a Shops Closing day.
