The Come By Chance Fire Department is mourning one of their own this week.
In a heartfelt post to Facebook, the department reveals that firefighter Cory Smith has passed away.
They say that on Wednesday night, they responded to one of the most difficult emergency responses for their members.
They praised Smith as being “as dedicated as we could possibly have asked for,” saying that they are heartbroken.
