A number of municipal services are closed today for the Canada Day holiday.
In the City of St. John’s, most offices and facilities are closed and garbage and recycling will not be collected.
All recreation facilities are open and paid parking is in effect as it is not a Shops Closing Holiday.
Robin Hood Bay is open for commercial users only from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Visitor Information Centre on Water Street is also open at regular hours.
Residents are asked to check with their municipality for a list of closures.
Most government offices and services such as banks are also closed for the day. Canada Post will resume deliveries on Tuesday.
