Clean up continues following what is being termed another successful NL Folk Festival in Bannerman Park in St. John’s.
After two weeks of sunny skies and hot temperatures, the weather took a turn on the weekend, but that didn’t dampen spirits according to the Executive Director of the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Arts Society, Julie Vogt.
“I was surprised at how many people came out, even though we had the drizzle, we had the fog,” Vogt remarked, “but out they came, they didn’t care!”
Vogt says they introduced a number of new features this year, including a family tent that went over very well.
